Clean, simple Basic Search screen designed to facilitate quick
searching.
Users can now search
across more than one field in the Basic Search. You can also restrict your search to items with images, or search for variant spellings (e.g. Julius Caesar finds Iulius Caesar and Ivlivs Caesar).
Right
truncation now uses the asterisk symbol (*). You can also search using the ? wildcard.
Proximity
searching is now available using the operators NEAR and FBY
(Followed BY).
Ability to browse
and select exact terms from indexes for all Basic fields.
Clear
searches with one click.
Choose how many results you wish to display, and how you wish to sort them.
Page is separately bookmarkable.
